    Food wasn't anything exciting- I'm sure if we had utilized the hibachi it might have been better. Service was really good. Food came quick and the waitress was efficient. It was quite and we got a nice corner booth. Was a little bummed out because we were gifted a gift card and couldn't use it because "kotos isn't a chain anymore". So we had to unexpectedly pay in full and now have a gift card for 2 hours away I doubt we'll ever use. ‍♀️

    Great place to enjoy meals with friends, coworkers and family. Lot of goo food choices on the menu, I enjoy their shumai, rainbow sushi, dragon roll sushi and the bento box options are great. I also like their covered patio area, its bright and cozy at the same time. I almost prefer it to the indoor seating where the lighting isn't the best, warm ambient lighting inside will improve the feel inside..but what do I know, I am not a restaurant designer :D Overall I think this Japanese restaurant has been a South Burlington staple and the quality has always been great

    Great experience for the whole family. We never have issues going here. Consistent when it comes to good food. It gets pretty pricey so we only go once or twice a year. They do charge you for soda refills, stick to water! I guess you pay for the hibachi experience! They do get pretty busy so try to make a reservation before going.

There were no sesame seeds on it, and it very clearly tasted like orange chicken, but the staff insisted it was what I ordered. After a lot of back and forth, they refused to give me a refund but grudgingly let me choose something else. I then ordered teriyaki chicken on a stick, and the portion was shockingly small – about half of what I should’ve received. Overall, the food was disappointing, and the service was even worse. Definitely not worth the hassle.

We ordered edamame, gyoza, seaweed salad, beef teriyaki, chirashi (no roe), eel don, tempura udon, tuna and salmon sushi by the piece (2 pieces per order), and California roll. All of the food was good. The beef teriyaki was rare sliced beef with sauce – not sure it was marinated. The tempura was a flat coating deep fried, not the typical spiky coating, and it was very greasy –we would not order this again. The rice was a small bowl but given the other food portions, it won’t matter, you won’t finish all of your food. The décor is so-so – it’s is located in an outdoor mini mall location and inside it’s a little dark as the windows are covered with closed blinds. We would return but it is not a place we crave to return. Note: Hibachi is not cooked on the table in front of you
