We stopped in as we had some time to spare before a movie and ordered a couple of appetizers and drinks. We tried the tataki and pork chirashi. Oh man!! I was very pleasantly surprised and blown away. The tataki (yellowfin tuna sashimi) was very fresh and high-quality. The pork chirashi was pure Asian comfort food, with a flavorful and fatty pork belly, perfectly cooked rice and a savory glaze. It immediately brought me back to childhood, reminding me of dishes we had at home. For drinks, we tried the wasabi martini and raz highball. Both were very different. I enjoyed the wasabi martini but was hoping for a little more salt/brine. The raz highball was sweet due to Chambord but balanced and lightened up with the yuzu and soda. I wish I wasn’t already full from having had dinner, as there were so many options on the menu I was wanting to try. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!
