It was my first time yesterday with my son and I ordered the Bento box salmon hibachi. It was presented beautifully with more food than I could eat and everything was delicious. We had a really great server Michael, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and. Seasoned. The robots were kind of a unique edition. This is a great restaurant with a chef who is very experienced in the Kitchen
Loved it here! Me and my friend had our bday celebration and we enjoyed every single meal. Cindy was our server and she was absolutely amazing and so attentive to us. Definitely coming back!!!
Had just gotten back from Dubai to Buffalo and our neighbors said, if we want sushi, we must try this place out. It was amazing. My boyfriend and I were there for 3 hours. Our server, Cindy was an absolute doll, explained everything on how you use the tablet to order your menu items and Bella, the robot Was so cute delivering our food to the table. We had an amazing time. The food was out of this world. The best sushi I've ever eaten and believe me, I'm a sushi person. My boyfriend wasn't a sushi person, Until he ate there and now he certainly is...the drinks were delicious. The food was delicious so many items on the menu something for everyone and as my boyfriend said, the atmosphere was like something out of a Las. Vegas hotel? It's a must if you live in Buffalo or you're just visiting, You've got to go there and I guarantee if you go once you're definitely gonna go again. The manager Max made sure that we were having a good time and enjoying everything. We loved it and we will definitely be back there again. So if you want some good sushi, I recommend you try this place out. You go once you'll definitely return. Just like we did so enjoy & have a happy holiday season. It's a great place to go for the holidays or just anytime you want good food.

Small place but they obviously care about providing good service. Had some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time for a great price. I got the chef’s lunch for around 13$ and it was excellent. I’ll totally suggest this place to other people.
It is one of the top places for Sushi and Authentic Japanese cuisine hands down. A must try when in Buffalo. It's not crazy big or tons of seating, so take-out is fine, as well. Or do a reservation. Parking sometimes can be tricky as it is a busy area in Elmwood village. Lunch specials are well priced. Chicken teriyaki, tempura, or tonkatsu are good dishes. Sushi and Sashimi are amazing and some of the best in the city.
Update: still as good as ever. This place is so consistent and their lunch deal is just so good. The best quality for the price. They do the best spicy tuna roll of anywhere I’ve ever had. Also love the Alaskan roll. I also think the size of the roll is the proper size. Love this place so much. (Older review): Best lunch deal in town! Great sushi and even better for the price at lunch! Cute little spot. Simple and small on the inside. Can get busy but worth it. Hard to find good sushi not being on the coast, but this gets the job done. Love it here

No hate to the restaurant owners or anything but my experience here was very subpar. The hospitality was respectable but the food was extremely uninspiring. The karage was decent but it was on the bland side and sauce helped slightly. The ramen however I would stay away. It was very bland and the noodle were not properly cooked. The ingredient in the ramen also did not match the theme of the dishes title and not fresh. It was manageable to eat but would not go here again. Don’t let the other positive reviews make it seem like a proper ramen establishment.
Exellent food with a broad menu to choose from, leaving every kind of eater satisfied. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and the staff was very welcoming too. Reservations recommended as there are only limited seating options, especially for groups 6 and up.
It took me over an hour to get my food, I had to have the chef make my ramen twice because the noodles were under cooked and still was not satisfied, the broth tasted like soy sauce. I rate the ramen 1/10. The fried chicken thighs and the aoli however was delicious as was the sushi.

Everything we ordered has very authentic taste. I loved their tea leaf salad and papaya salad. For curry, pannang curry was really good. Overall 9.5/10 for taste and authenticity of food. Must visit place in Buffalo, NY.
Best Asian food in Buffalo. Best service. Staff is friendly. Food was amazing, worth the money 100%. I ordered vegetable spring rolls, orange chicken, and general tso chicken. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter waited for us to finish eating our food and for us to ask for the check before bringing it over, did not rush as at all. Overall great experience. I will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends and I will be returning.
Where should I begin? My experience at this restaurant was absolutely phenomenal. From booking the reservation for my 25th birthday to arrival, the entire process was seamless and pleasant. My friends and I were offered a private dining room with a TV to play music while we ate and celebrated this new chapter of my life. Every food item was flavorful, fresh, and made to perfection when it came out. We came in hungry and left completely full before heading to the club. The owner’s son is so polite and professional. While we were wrapping things up and preparing to cash out, the owner paid us a surprise visit and sung happy birthday to me. He even bought me a delicious birthday cake with my name! I was completely blown away. He told me the that he could sense my positive energy over the phone when I booked my reservation, and he wanted to make my day special; which he did. I felt so loved ❤️ I give this place a 100000/10. We’ll definitely be back again for the authentic Asian fusion cuisine!

This place is amazing! The food is delicious and very fresh. The portions are generous and you have so many options to choose from to create your very own one of a kind poke bowl. Try them out. You will not be disappointed. I see alot of poke bowls in my future.
Amazingly fresh sushi and poke bowls. Highly recommend!!! You won’t be sorry. The food was tasty and fresh, service was friendly and timely. The prices are also very reasonable and portions are generous. Mostly set up for to go orders, but there couple of tables. We dinned in and were comfortable. The owners learned we were visiting the Niagara Falls and gave us a cute little cup as a gift. Great food and wonderful service! Make sure you check it out.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE the pokeco rice in my poke bowls. And because I love it so much, I’m not going to any other place but here to get it!!!

I've actually been here 2 nights in a row but I forgot to take pics the first night. But both nights the food has been GREAT. I got a different variety of things and not 1 thing was bad at all. The staff was really nice and very helpful in explaining the menu to me. The wait wasn't long at all. The packing of the food was good as well.
I only visited buffalo for a few short months but within that time I've had the pleasure of experiencing the best foodie environments I could have ever . Taisho is located in a wonderful area and quite easily accessible. The atmosphere is clean pleasantly lit and populated with only the kindest of people. I was greeted immediately and sat in a booth. I ordered just water to drink But to start a simple ginger dressing salad and the baby octopus app. Each was brought quickly with grand attention to plating detail. For my mid the best eel roll as they call it and the flying fish roll alla carte. The ingredients were fresh and once again the presentation amazing . Plenty of flavor and exceeded my expectations. To be quite honest I thought of buying one more plate to finish but couldn't finish one more bite. Overall I would definitely give Taisho bistro a 10/10 and if I ever come back to buffalo I will most definitely visit this wonderful Japanese escape.
I go here every week. The food is affordable, fresh, filling and so good! Highly recommend the Sake Don.

The best halal sushi in Buffalo! Below is the Spider Roll which was absolutely delicious and expertly crafted! The presentation of the dishes was very nice. The wait time was not long, and the sushi was so fresh and delicious. Polite staff, and a very friendly chef. The atmosphere of the restaurant was serene. Will definitely be coming here again, and will be recommending this restaurant to family and friends!
My husband and I came here for Iftar and the food was amazing. Do not be deterred from the location or street parking as you would truly be missing out. The chef is new in town and has only been open for a short time. From speaking to him he has had over 18 years experience in his field and humble about it. It shows in the presentation of the food and the flavor. He also took the time to explain to us what sets his food apart and why other sushi restaurants aren’t halal . In all honesty, the sushi at this quaint eatery was unexpectedly the best we’ve ever had.
we were looking for a new sushi spot for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint!!! the owner, and chef, was incredibly welcoming and even prepared us a delicious complimentary seafood salad. you can obviously tell this guy works hard and loves his business, and his sushi is some of the best we’ve had in buffalo! here’s what we got: -seafood salad 10/10 -tuna maki 10/10 -~sexy~ buffalo roll 11/10 -takoyaki 10/10 -yaki soba 8/10 -ramen 8/10 even better the ramen was halal, which was a win for my fiancé since he cant usually have it! but i’ll say it again GO FOR THE SUSHI! the prices are GREAT and the taste was FANTASTIC! this is a slower dining experience but the party lights totally make it worth it

We had an amazing pre-theater dinner at Nai Restaurant before seeing a holiday show at Alleyway Theater. We made reservations, and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. The selection of Thai, Burmese, and Japanese entrees - including bubble tea - and appetizers is vast! We tried a mix of appetizers including the vegetable samosas and edamame. Our entrees included red curry, pad thai, and homestyle chicken curry. The food came out piping hot and was cooked to our exact spice-level requests, which was awesome. All of the food was very flavorful, fresh, and very well cooked and prepared. We also tried lychee bubble tea with tapioca and a thai iced tea. They were great! This is a hidden gem at the end of Main Street and you should add it to your pre-downtown event rotation. It’s close to the arena, the theatre district, the comedy club, the casino, and the convention center. They also offer takeout through DoorDash and Square. Highly recommend! 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went here thinking it was boba tea world in a random thai restaurant... and it was? Idek The drink was nice though! Though they didn't have many flavour options available. The lady was sweet too
Very disappointing and distasteful. Got the green papaya salad. It was very smelly and not appetizing. The menu didn’t state that it had fish sauce in it. The chicken fried rice also smelled bad and I found hair in my food. It smelled like old food mixed in with like juices of garbage. rakhapura Was very good but this new business not so much, I was disappointed.

I drove all the way from Toronto to check out this hidden gem! Had a few friends tell me about this cute restaurant tucked away in downtown Buffalo. The freshness of the fish and seafood here outshines some of the best places I’ve eaten at in Toronto! The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a date night or girls night out. The attention to detail from service to the variety in drinks is top notch! Definitely looking forward to stopping here again!
I recently went on a girls’ trip across the border. The first thing we did was check out Kuni’s since we were starving and wanted something filling. Kuni’s is a small and cozy Japanese restaurant that serves authentic sushi dishes. The service was okay, but it could’ve been better. The portion sizes were perfect for the three of us. We ordered their miso soup & salad to start. For our appetizers we got their sashimi 21. We also got a couple of rolls to try, we got their tuna, salmon, scallop & avocado rolls. We also got their surf clam and Inari. Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered. The miso soup and salad were light and refreshing. We particularly loved the dressing they used on their house salad. The sashimi and sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, and it’s evident their chef uses the finest ingredients. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Buffalo!
The vibe and decor was cozy. A little tight on space but service was good. Prompt and food came quickly too. We had the sample platter for sushi and sashimi. Everything tasted fresh! I was also pleasantly surprised with the veggie tempura, very creative. Their udon soup was a hit, too. A bit on the sweeter side, noodles were soft so my mom loved it, I would have preferred it a little chewy. I'd love to come back and try other things when I am in the area.

Chose this restaurant based on the reviews in Google and it was sooo right! The host and the waitress Stephanie was very attentive and nice, food was delicious. And the ginger tea was yummmm. Definitely will come back, when visit Buffalo next time ugh
The worst Pad Ke mao ever!! I ordered chicken spring roll and got home to find vegetable spring roll! But that’s not my annoyance, the pad ke Mao was tasteless, spineless, seasonless, I had beef pad ke Mao and the best stank like either it or the whole food was about to get rotten The food is not fresh! The ingredients or vegetables are probably not frozen properly Whatever it is, it wasn’t a good experience! For food that costs almost $30, I see no reason why this restaurant would make subpar food. Even a food truck or road side food seller can do better than this! As I expected, I had a stomach upset after eating this! Stay away! The food is trash and wouldn’t give you the thai food experience!
Good restaurant with veg and vegan options. They also have Gluten gluten-free menu! The staff is friendly.

The food is amazing! The salmon is fresh and you can taste the sweet fat in it. The ingredients of Salmon California Roll is very simple but that's how you taste the real thing. They use fish chunks instead of smashed fish meat in the rolls which makes it even better. We also had the steam shrimp dumplings, it's hot and fresh. The skin is very soft and chewy. I don't understand the sauce that came with it though. On top of it, the price is totally worth it. If you want better quality sushi and don't want to spend a fortune, this is the place. I will definitely come back to try their ramen and curry.
The sushi chef was also our waiter. Super kind and a sweet gentle nature. The sushi was incredibly fresh. Also enjoyed the shrimp dumplings. The miso had nice big chunks of tofu. Very reasonable!
Friendly service and beautifully presented sushi. Great place for a healthy lunch at a great price!

Nice laid back spot, atmosphere is relaxing. Good drink selection. Really recommend the pineapple sake. The food is amazing from apps to entrees. Everything had great flavor and the spice levels are pretty on par, once you get to level 3 it starts to really spice up. But if you’re familiar with Asian cuisine then you’ll know what I mean. The service was great and everyone on staff was extremely warm and welcoming. Would definitely come anytime and would recommend to any of my friends in town. Would say for the amount of stuff we ordered the price was fair.
Best Asian fusion food in Buffalo! We absolutely love it here. Service is always fast and friendly. Vegetable dumplings are so good both steamed and fried! Our two favorite meals are red curry and yaki udon- you cannot go wrong with these and especially if you’d like the spice levels to be 3-4 out of 5! Their Crispy Rocket Shrimp is incredibly delicious with an enticing crunch. The flavors and spices added with each dish have been phenomenal and the service is outstanding, providing vegan options/adjustments.
I love this place! I always have a good time with good food, good service and a good atmosphere! I was introduced to calamari here and have never looked back! It doesn't matter if I'm alone or with people, I always enjoy myself. I just took my good friend here for my birthday and she cried happy tears when they surprised her with a cake! :) Our servers are such wonderful people who really love others and what they do! I HIGHLY recommend!

Yesterday, I went out with a friend to Taisho. Looks: You walk in to this beautifully modern bar like place. There'd an upstairs too. Colorful led lights, nice art om the wall. On our table we had a little cute vase with a glass flower. The Napkins also had printed flowers on it. Doesn't take long for you to be directed to your seat. Staff: Respectful, professional, yet relaxed and casual Food: I had the chicken teriyaki bentonite box and my friend had the shrimp teriyaki bento box with the tuna rolls . ! And for an appetizer we had tokoyaki balls which is octopus balls. The octopus balls had fish flakes on it and some sauce. Truth be told I thought it was alive because the airflow is pretty good and the flakes are light so it was moving weirdly like the fish flakes on top. The ball itself was nice hot and good! I've never had octopus ever so it was a first. It reminds me of a very soft fried fish I use to have growing up. I liked it! For the bento box I wasn't a huge fan of the the California rolls ( crab meat and crunchy veggies) but the execution of it was good! The spicy chili sauce or what reminds me of duck sauce was there with a little kick and I used it with my potstickers and spring rolls. Delish! The chicken teriyaki was okay but I liked the shrimp teriyaki better . More flavor in the shrimp . There was rice too which was good but I like to dip it into the sauces like the teriyaki sauce. This is a great place for a date or just hanging out with friends for a drink . Ih by the way! There's really only alcohol at this place so I just asked for a water. Overall, I had a good experience here and hope others will also come to experience it!
Our server was fantastic. It was super busy and she didn't skip a beat. Was super friendly and fast. Seriously one of the best servers we have ever had. The food is always on point. Atmosphere is casual and fun. Prices are reasonable. Only negative - and I'm not even taking away a star for it- The peach champagne is absolutely horrible. Would be better if they change whatever orange juice they use. It really is bad. But the server took care of us and I super appreciate it.
They have a great menu that also has pictures. More places should be like that, include more pictures of your food and people might branch out and order something they usually wouldn't. They have a good lunch deal and happy hour prices, I should have gotten pix of their menu for that, woops Ordered takoyaki (my favorite), spider roll (deep fried crab), spider appetizer, tuna roll. All were great and nicely presented. They have a good amount of TVs, too, looks like a good place to watch a Bills, Sabres, or Bandits game. Service was good

They were all right. This summer roll was really really tasty, I liked the sauce that had with it especially. Everything was fresh to order, which was nice, and the person working the store was really nice. The roll was tasty and fresh and with a good level of spice There was only one person, I came in and sat and he took my order and brought everything out, normal stuff. Since he was often in the back I did signal that I wanted to pay by standing by the kiosk, it was pretty benign I do wish I'd been given a glass of water, when I asked he pointed to the fridge that had bottled water, and I really didn't want to purchase a bottle of water when I was sitting down at a restaurant.
The owner is really nice. Sushi was delicious and made fresh to order. Spicy California roll is the ultimate treat for me whenever I am craving sushi and this restaurant made it so mouth watering.
How to describe this sublime experience? Picture, diner, this scene in your mind: treading hesitantly into a commercial structure, signage for this small eatery just barely visible from yonder sidewalk. Mayhap you found it on Yelp? Google Maps? The method is irrelevant, but the result is unforgettable. At first you ask, "where have I gone?" The decor is of clashing oranges and blues. The tables are haphazard, few, and cluttered with boxes and utensils. There are counters along one wall arranged with no semblance of order, and wires cross-cross the floor, wall, and surfaces, stretching hither and yon to power a vast array of objects. Are you seated? Nay. Are there menus? Again, nay. Indeed, all signs point to the establishment not even wishing you to be there, with Doordash signs visible at every turn. The owners and workers are friendly, but direction is vague. Sit down? Okay. Are you staying? Well, I sat, so yes, thank you. Would you like a men-- oh, but of course, there are no menus. Then, you are left to your own devices. Serve yourself, unless you want something specific. Sushi? Yes, it's on the sign, after all. It's all in containers, ready to be picked up and whisked away. Steamed dumplings? Indeed, but they taste more of the microwave than having truly been steamed, and despite there being signage suggesting multiple varieties, there is but one. Miso soup? Whether it's truly miso is questionable, but at least you have your pick of vessel: ceramic, paper, or carry-out. Having picked up and eaten your food, how do you pay? With the staff so often back in the kitchen, it is largely based on the honor system. Did you have two of the stiff dumplings or six? Did you double-dip in the soup? An anarchistic approach to service leaves you wondering how to resolve these questions, but your guilt will lead you to the proper responses, unless you are truly incorrigible. My final word is to avoid, unless you are simply picking up. Save yourself the confusion, my friend, and meander elsewhere for your midday fare.

This is my favorite sushi place in Buffalo. I’m very impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. Everything tastes super delicious and the quality is always consistent any time we visit this restaurant. The atmosphere of this place is very cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Japanese dining experience.
The food at Wasabi is consistently good. The service is also good. And the prices are quite reasonable. The atmosphere inside is good too, if you want to eat in. I've tried several different items here and have been very pleased. The spicy mango shrimp is especially good. I will say that the pad Thai, although decent, could use some improvement. But, then again, this isn't a Thai restaurant. As far as sushi, they have a nice variety here, so something for everyone.
The sushi here was amazing, the rice was soft, the nigiri was excellent, everything was perfect! The ginger dressing on the salad was something I had never tasted before and was so delicious that I bought some to take home as a souvenir. It is a six-hour drive, but I would like to go back again.
