Best Restaurants Open for All You Can Eat Sushi in Birmingham – 2025

This is our favorite sushi in town. We have tried many local (and not local!) sushi restaurants, but for years this has been our favorite! Fresh, high quality sushi at a reasonable price. Friendly service, too!

Sushi Village is my go-to spot for sushi in Birmingham! I’ve been coming here for a while, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, the prices are super reasonable (especially the lunch specials and all-you-can-eat option), and the vibe is just right. The owners and staff are some of the nicest people you’ll meet—they really care about their customers and make you feel at home. Yeah, it can get busy sometimes, but that just proves how good it is! Totally worth the wait. On top of the amazing sushi, my wife swears by their miso soup, I can’t get enough of their kani salad, and according to my kids, they have the best bubble tea in Birmingham! If you love sushi and want a place that’s consistently great, affordable, and welcoming, this is it. Can’t recommend it enough!

One of my favorites sushi place in town. I had sushi from here at least 15+. Good quality, good prices. My favorites are amazing roll, rock n roll and crazy roll, and any of the spicy ones. Make yourself a favor and ask for eel sauce and spicy mayo.

The staff was fantastic and the food was just as good! Lovely quiet atmosphere, and I felt like I was at home eating some good sushi. They also have a really nice peach sake! The roll pictured was the "Sexy Mama" roll, and it was delicious

Great establishment! If you are a fan of fried rolls, come here, you won’t regret it! We ordered 3 servings of rolls and soup, the bill came out to $35. All the food was delicious, I'm now a fan of this place!

Sushi Village is a unique casual dining experience. It has a bright, quaint, and warm ambience, but their food presentation is sophisticated and elegant. The service is good. The server was attentive but not overly so. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. It is not the best sushi I have ever eaten, but it was very good and there were a lot of choices!

Delicious food with very short wait times. Our lunches came with either a ginger salad or a soup, and we ordered purple sweet potato French fries as an appetizer. I was very happy with the quality of the fresh salad, and my daughter enjoyed her soup. The avocado and cashews paired well with Massaman chicken curry. The dining area was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Silverware was provided with chopsticks available on request. On the way out, we paused by the saltwater aquarium and found a small crab hiding in the anemones. Fun experience—I’d like to eat here again.

10/10 would recommend! Everything was so good. This was my first time having coconut soup and it was amazing! I hate I stay over 3 hours away because I'd eat here 3 nights a week. The staff was so friendly and it's so beautiful inside. To my restroom ppl they were very clean as well. I will definitely come back next time I visit!

We have have so many good experiences at Nori in Hoover. The staff there is wonderful! The hibachi chefs are very entertaining and great with children! The food has been great every time! Hubby loves the ramen bowls and I have enjoyed the filet/shrimp hibachi and sushi. Please go visit! You won’t be disappointed! OH - and they do GREAT bday celebrations!!

Been a few times, have had some appetizers and always end up getting the ahi tuna salad. It is absolute fire. Hard to tell people like, "Yeah! It's cucumbers and strawberries and avocados!" Trust me it works so good with the Ginger Ponzu dressing. It's loaded with tuna too. Enough for every bite. Service also great.

We were somewhat in a hurry and they got us in and out pretty quickly. We ordered 4 rolls and shared them. The Volcano Roll was baked, warm and by far the best! The other rolls were good too. California roll, Sweet Home Alabama roll and The Electric Roll which was my least favorite. The atmosphere was nice and restaurant was very clean.

This place was really nice. I was invited by a friend and it was a great choice. Our server was really nice and also tended bar. He was well versed with the menu and made great drinks. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was 80s rock meets Asian fusion. It works. Great place for a date or friend outings. Not really setup for family dining.

My group of friends had a wonderful experience. Our server was attentive, offered suggestions, & friendly. Our food was delicious! The cocktails were crafted well! The atmosphere is a chill, sushi bar vibe. And they have outdoor seating for favorable weather.

Good over all. We sat near the kitchen/sushi bar and there was an unpleasant dirty kitchen water smell. There was plenty of parking across the street. I like that they come to the table and run your card on the hand held machine instead of taking it. Seoul nachos: good Umami crispy rice: great Bender roll: great Karen roll: great

Scallops were burned to a crisp and so chewy they were barely edible. Pork Belly taco was a bit dry but delicious.. my only complaint is that they are TINY for $5. Sushi was good, but nothing special

went a few months ago with my family and we loved absolutely everything!!! our server was piero and he was amazing and very funny!! the happy hour prices are amazing and as a vegan i love when places have so many options for me and the people im with who are not vegan ☺️☺️ best vegan sushi i’ve had hands down

Solid good. Trying HARD not to review it through the lens of having lived in Japan for 19 years straight. Food is good. Menu varied. Prices reasonable. Location stellar. Atmosphere vibrant, upbeat, very novelty Japanese-y. Spacious but even when full doesn't seem crowded. Server was attentive, friendly, and can school you in the sushi lingo if necessary. My only criticisms are that my maguro sashimi looked sloppy both in cut and plating (see last pic)--when it is deserving of much more from a purist's standpoint... and that my sticky rice was smooshed into the bowl. If you have high expectations you will still enjoy here even with its attention to detail wiggle room. I would return.

I visited this restaurant on a date and I was very impressed. The ambiance in the restaurant is very swanky and chic. The menu wasn't too expansive, but also offered variety. The cocktail I ordered with the popping Boba was SO good. The sushi we ordered was delicious, the rangoons were amazing, and don't even get me started on the dessert!! Hailey was our server and she did a good job. I would definitely go back here, for the memories and for the food <3 The only negative comment I have is that they were out of the cocktail mix for the original cocktail I wanted AND then they were also out of the raspberry sauce that was supposed to accompany our dessert. I didn't feel that the restaurant was that busy or that it was very late, so the unpreparedness was slightly unpleasant.

During my first visit to Bamboo on 2nd (my wife’s second visit), I enjoyed some good sushi, some fried green beans, and maybe the best ribs I’ve had in a decade or two, glazed in what I believe to have been Korean bbq flavors. We were greeted and treated well by the host, who was obviously a professional and did a wonderful job accommodating us at the sushi bar despite a crowd. The bartender, also busy, did a great job with customer service by taking a few extra moments with us and not dismissing us as soon as he could. I discovered a new craft beer that I really enjoyed. Our server was very capable and did a good job describing a menu item that I had questions about. Overall, I’d say that this is a go-to sushi spot for people that appreciate customer service and a welcoming environment.

First Time Visitor. Great Atmosphere. The servers were very polite and Attentive. I started with The Seared Tuna Ponzo it was a great starter with a little kick because of the jalapeños. I ordered the Wham-BHam as my Main dish and I must say i was suprised it was very Good. Would definitely recommend while visiting Birmingham.

Love the big red pivot door! The place is on the smaller side but still has a lot of seating options. I started with an off the menu item, seared hamachi ponzu. The yellow tail had such great flavor and the Serrano had a kick. The ponzu was on the thicker side, that I haven’t seen before but still the dish had great flavor. Then I had the flight. It comes with two pieces of salmon, tuna, and hamachi with their house yuzu sauce. It was good but I would have thought it had more flavor. The last thing I had was the Wham B’HAM. It was so yummy! A must try if you like seared salmon. The staff is friendly and you have different seating options. They have a huge bar top maybe seat around 18 people, sushi bar top maybe accommodate 10 people and then two high tops you can mix different groups together and then half booth and chair combos. The only sport they play would be college football. If that isn’t playing then the rest of the time it’s kung fu or Godzilla movies playing. I enjoyed the music playing it was all the place but songs I loved. The decoration takes you to a different place including the chairs they have.

I'm super impressed with how my experience was. The cashier was super friendly, the food was amazing and is a hidden gem here in Birmingham! They also offer gluten free and vegetarian options!! I would go back in a heartbeat.

Every time we come to Birmingham (live in Fl) we have to come here. The food is fresh and delicious. And the service is always great. It's a cozy spot and a game is always on. Very clean with promt service. We love it here! Pictured is the Rainbow roll and the Alaskan Sunrise roll.

I've only ordered food once from here we got it delivered to our office. I believed I had ordered the Lord Have Mercy. It was pretty good and I would definiely come again but it wasn't mind blowing and I thought the side of chips and salsa was kinda lame. Next time I'd get no side or choose a different one. Expect the same pricing as normal sushi. I do really appreciate their website though! Straight to the point.

Visited here while in Birmingham and ate here twice! Food was great and service was too. I had boba fruit tea, salad, calamari, crab puffs, and Teppan Yaki (shrimp and geisha (lobster, scallops, shrimp).

This is a fun place. My daughter brought me a few times when she lived near UAB, so recently when I realized my husband had never had actual ramen, we had to go! The service is absolutely top notch. Nicest people ever. The food is really good, too. This time, I got salmon sushi and miso ramen. Hubs had Japanese egg rolls and chicken ramen. Mine was too much, I brought most of the ramen home. Looking forward to having the rest for dinner. I also got the Japanese milk tea, but I'd taken several sips before I remembered to photograph. It's absolutely amazing. Will definitely go again.

This place was fairly small, but able to accommodate our party of six no problem. The price was average for a Japanese restaurant and the atmosphere was pretty plain jane. The boba's and tea's were excellent and so was the service and food.

We had a really nice brunch there. The food quality was really good. The sushi was tasty. Exceptional breakfast courses. The drinks were exceptional. Our server Marco was super attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back, and highly recommend this place.

First time going. Friend and I jumped in the car to play lottery and ended up in Alabama for a day trip. The first stop was here, and it was happy hour, and I had chicken tempura and shrimp tempura roll and a mixed margarita with watermelon and pineapple delicious. They use fresh fruit! Yummy .

Absolutely incredible. Such a wonderful experience and delicious food. Posting pictures that give do no justice to the flavor and appearance of the food. The food coupled with the service make this place a no brainer when wanting sushi and unique food options with an Asian flare.

This restaurant seemed dirty and not well kept. Our table was sticky. Not very crowded during our visit. The menu here is limited but our food was good with a generous portion. I wished that I’d chicken curry dish had some green veggies. They did not have enough staff and the staff that was there were not trained well and seemed lazy. Our server was friendly but forgot several items and seemed overworked while other staff members were simply standing around.

Hostess were very friendly. We seated right away our table, waiter is prompt to ask for our drinks.. right after we order our foods, i have few questions regarding appetizer's, but seems he is so clueless. So disregard my questions we order our foods.. foods are shareable, huge portions food taste and quality are ok. Sashimi quality is ok.. i had better ones.... not coming back! Btw, my pineapple fried rice is dry it could use lil bit seasonings.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. I've only eaten at the downtown one before, but I love the atmosphere of this location now knowing what it's like. Definitely a new favorite spot for my husband and me! The staff were all so friendly, the portions are more than expected, and the flavors are next-level. If you want bang for your buck, go straight to Surin 280!
