We had made reservations on Valentine’s Day,, upon arrival, the table was ready for us due to the reservation we made so that was a good sign from the beginning.. But when the host showed up, he was very rude and very pushy and looked extremely annoyed.. We barely got a chance to look at the menu and he was already asking us what we wanted.. He asked our children what they wanted, and when they couldn’t answer him fast enough, he rolled his eyes and looked at us with a very nasty attitude, and asked what they wanted?? From then on, he was extremely rude and not welcoming at all.. The chef was actually very good at what he did and the food was pretty good. I’m not gonna lie. Then towards the end, most of us didn’t even finish our food yet, and the manager came and started cleaning plates off the table and saying OK time to go, basically kicking us out…. Everyone, including myself at the table felt very awkward and uncomfortable and I told him I will never be coming back here ever again and he said good. Don’t come back.!! This place either needs new management or Ownership. Or just simply shut down In my opinion.. They will never get our business ever again!! If I Could give -stars I would.. Save your money and embarrassment and go to another hibachi..
We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner on Christmas Eve and came across Sumou. The rolls tasted fresh and were great quality. Inside was nicely dim and there's two dining areas, one for hibachi which we will be back for! Service was excellent, yelp check-ins even got me a free glass of house wine! The rolls were beautifully made, and came out super fast. Pricing was perfect for a sushi restaurant, $8-$18 a roll and the appetizers were in the same range.
Just finished lunch here. Service began with almost immediate beverage order of glass of wine, no water offered or delivered to table. Soup and salad immediately arrived after placing order; standard expecatation. Soft shell crab in garlic sauce appetizer delicious. Chirashi sushi took more time. No additional beverage service offered. Felt ignored and thirsty. When entree arrived plating was very unappealing. Told waiter it did not look appetizing and plate design looked dirty and stained. Told waiter the chef should know it looks like dried blood. He said he could not say anything to the chef. Inquired the name of two of the types of fish on the plate from another waitress. Was told "white tuna and tuna." Hestitantly ate two full pieces of fish in question. Neither had any disernable flavor and the texture was repulsive. The "tuna" was sticky, gummy, and stretchy. The "white tuna" was had the appearance of mackerel without the oil and had a slight metallic, sour taste. I informed the woman at checkout that I was displeased with the plating and question the authenticity and/or quality of the "tuna" and "white tuna" and that I would be leaving a Google review. She smiled and said have a good day. $57.57 plus $10 tip...

Food was decent, if your looking for a quick bite to eat then it's good. Service took a little longer than expected to receive soda and our meals. The interior had 2 bars and seems like a chill spot.c
Beautiful presentation, attentive staff, delicious food! Whether it's the Bay Shore location or the Smithtown location, I have always had a great experience at Aji!

If this wasn't so far from us we would be here more often. Excellent food. Excellent staff. Well run kitchen because they made no mistakes with our order, food was presented really well and service was fast. Their sushi was quality sushi. Every dish we tried on the AYCE was delicious. Drinks were well balanced. Fried cheesecake was a perfect way to end the night. Will come here again.
One of the best all you can eat Sushi places I’ve been to. So it’s very crowded and loud. Not for an intimate date in my opinion. The food was very tasty. More than i expected for all you can eat. I wasn’t thrilled with their ordering method. You just tell them what you’d like which isn’t that terrible but in my opinion not the best method when you have multiple people. Another thing i didn’t love was there was a lot of crunchy fried stuff in a lot of the rolls but it was my first time. Next time i will have a better knowledge with what to get. They also don’t seem to care that you’re new and don’t explain anything. But they are on top of the tables and food was very good considering. I will be back.
It's definitely worth getting the all you can eat option to try different things. Smaller portions were perfect in my book, and we got to work our way through the menu to a few items.

This sushi-hibachi spot is a must-visit! The appetizers were fresh and delicious, and the spicy tuna roll was absolutely amazing—packed with flavor and perfectly executed. The peach iced tea was so refreshing and just the right touch of sweetness. Our server, Billy, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was modern and cute, creating the perfect vibe for a great meal. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
We were seated right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was low light and cozy. It was very noisy, especially since we were seated closer to the hibachi area. Although the hibachi seating is a great attraction, I wish they had a wall or sound barrier to minimize loud sound. The cook/performer was very loud!! That being said, we overlooked that and proceeded to view our menus. The lighting was so low that we literally took out our phones and used our flashlights. I ordered a gin and tonic with a twist of lime. What I received was gin and club soda with a twist of lemon. I drank it anyway. The american dream role and the land and sea roll were delicious!! My sister ordered the takumi roll, which was also delicious ( I wish I had ordered it myself!)!! Our friend ordered the spicy crabmeat encrusted filet mignon. She was disappointed as the flavor was bland and the filet was okay. Overall I would recommend this place and we would return.
My lychee martini was perfect. Juicy, strong and sweet. We loved the white tuna and white truffle dish, the tuna tacos and the eggplant fries. All three dishes are a must try. The service was also better than a lot of similar places I’ve visited on Long Island. P.s. We did not enjoy: the miso fish entree and the untouchable roll.

Typically Japanese food from the mall is very dry, soggy and pretty gross. Here you won’t have that problem. They’re cooking food all day so your meal is guaranteed fresh. If busy the wait can take a while but it’s worth the wait.
I've always gone to this place, even in my youth days. Whenever I'm in town, I never skip to go to Sarku. It's never changed and it never disappointed me ever.
Can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience, food is super tasty. Quickly prepared These are not the friendliest folks but hey that not why your there and everyone can’t be Chic-fil-A and the price is just right.

There is absolutely NO excuse why I had to wait FIFTY minutes for my food. And even THEN, it was only half the food and I had to wait OVER AN HOUR for everything else. This isn't even a sit down restaurant, and even there I have never had to wait this long. I reminded them multiple times about my order and they kept prioritizing Doordash orders. Only AFTER I started getting angry did they even START my food. And the sushi was MID at best. Didn't even give us wasabi and ginger until we asked. Never coming here again.
Sushi is made fresh when ordered with fresh ingredients. Lot of the bad reviews are dramatic. Go to a gas station if you can't wait.
The guy that makes the sushi here is a real piece of work. Wanted to argue with everyone that came in about being busy while he made one item in 20 minute then played on his phone. Suggest you go somewhere else.
