Best Restaurants Open for All You Can Eat Sushi in Bakersfield – 2025

This is one of my personal favorites going back over 10 years. It’s a great place that COVID changed for the positive ! Post COVID 5% sales take out - now 50% ! And this place has it all Table Top Cooking, Great Bar, traditional sitting and tables and great outside patio. I am not going to go deep in the menu except to say I have not had any thing that was not great here … The stand out for me The desert peppermint ice cream: Today I can say the only thing better than one scoop is TWO and better than that is Three and … well I put on the breaks at Three but honestly I ate 90% of Rebecca’s ! So I say 3 Plus is the right amount !

Great spot was my first time there. Like that they focus more on the quality of the food ever showmanship. It's still a fun dinner but the quality is top notch

The food was great.We had a nice time. Grandson had the New york steak, and I had an appetizer and a roll.

Went for a late lunch today at 1:00 (they close from 2-5) and were so happy to be seated immediately a party of 3. As per usual the service was attentive and the sushi was fressshhhh! We ordered the Love Fire roll, Yellow tail sushi and we each had our own shrimp tempura roll with masago on the side. You should check it out if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed ❤️‍

⭐️ Big 5-Star to food Quality ! See pictures of some great Asian. Food. Dessert macaroons were Amazing and the Green Tea one was highest Quality Green Tea Ice cream ever ! Enjoy this place! Dining space limited so it does go through peek times of having to wait.

Food was amazing. Service was also awesome. The setup inside is a little crowded when sitting at a table and the bar also has people. Lots of people bumping into you.

The food is always really good and the service is very pleasant and the atmosphere is really calm and wonderful I’d recommend the ice green tea it’s refreshing

Great food and great service. This is our favorite Love Sushi location and definitively our sushi go to place. We always receive great service and fresh food.

If you want the Tepenyaki experience, be sure to call ahead for a reservation. We had no issues making one the same afternoon on a Friday night. The food was delicious but quite salty. Portions are large, with only 1 out of 5 of us finishing our meal. The cooking show was quite good and the cook interacted well with the child in our party. All food is cooked on the same grill, but the chef will ask ahead of time about shellfish allergies. Everything is also cooked in butter, so you may have to say something ahead of time if you're vegan.

I have been coming here for over 20 years and I’m always impressed by the quality and quantity of food, and high level of service. 18% added gratuity makes perfect sense because you are paying for the show that comes with the delicious food!!! You must order the steak and scallops. The crunch roll is amazing as well. If you still have room for dessert go for the fried ice cream.

Japanese ambiance and very good food. It's a popular place. I little pricey but worth it in my opinion. They do a lot of birthday Tepenyaki grill dinners. Every time I go there it's somebody's birthday.

Just off the beaten path of coffee road is this humble and quaint sushi restaurant. The inside is very clean and well kept. The only reason I gave it three stars, is because it seemed as though the designer could not decide between a Victorian chandelier-esque vibe and industrial. It doesn't really take away from the experience though . With blacked out windows, The feel inside the restaurant is very intimate. I almost forgot that it was broad daylight when I ate there. The sushi is on point here. Very well prepared and the presentation was nice. The waitress was very friendly. The sushi chef as well. The price is on the moderate high side for their specialty rolls. However, if you're in for a quick California roll or something basic like that, at just under $7 a roll, the price can't be beat for the quality. I will be going here again. And, anybody who enjoys sushi should as well.

THE best place for sushi! I live in Seattle and regularly come down to visit friends/family often and I make an effort to come to Sushiko every single time! The sushi comes out incredible and the staff is very friendly!

This is based on my personal experience working here. Any tips given to the waiter is forcibly split 50-50 with the sushi chef. When I was here, the sushi chef was often an acting manager. The sushi chef was receiving 100% of the tips given directly to him +50% of all other tips received by all other servers. His tips did not enter the general tip pool. There was no tip pool. I had hundreds of dollars stolen to me during my time here. Please consider tipping in cash to ensure that your server gets what is rightfully theirs, as that is the only kind of tip that management cannot forcibly take.

I just moved back into the area and got to eat here again after 2+ yrs of being away. The food is still outstanding. Plate presentation is very good. Well balanced.

Wonderful first time experience at Shoyu Sushi. I highly recommend this place if you want delicious fresh sushi.

Me and my aunt came by to try it out and the food was delicious. They were welcoming and gave us a complimentary dish of deep fried eggplant and was yummy. The broth to the ramen and the rolls were delicious.

This place was absolutely amazing . My wife and I order alot! . Roll - tuna lover - 4 .2 out of 5. On the sweet side Roll - tuna temptation - 4.0 out of 5. On the sweet side. Vegetables tempura - 4.0 out of 5. I prefer my tempura a bit under cook for the crunch. Soft shell crabsalad- was amazing! 5. Out of 5. Has an orange/lemon taste to the dressing. Shrimp fried rice - 3.8 out of 5. Had a shrimp powder taste to the rice but still good. Chirashi - raw sushi . All the fish were good.. 4.0 out of 5.. other than the tuna. Tuna 1.8 out of 5. Was so good my wife and I order 2 more rolls to go!.. Will be stopping by this place on our next visit.

Stop here for lunch during SF - LA trip. We ordered sushi rolls, bento lunch & udon. The food tastes delicious. They have excellent service. The only waitress is super friendly & nice. The chef gives us complimentary cute carved orange for the kids. Would love to come back for next trip passing the i5 highway.

This place was fantastic! Clean and very open with plenty of seating. I will be bring my family here many more times because the menu is huge and there are several more rolls I want to try. Good sushi costs and like I said the place was fantastic but its not so expensive that this place has to be relegated to special occasions only. I will need to check for a happy hour or lunch special. The spoon of green stuff is real wasabi and not green horse radish paste. There is a small up charge for them to bring out the real stuff and I thought it was quite good. Get yourselves in here and have a wonderful meal.

That was some of the best food I've ever had. We had the Miso soup, beef ramen, cucumber salad, Dragon roll and Ahi Salmon Heaven. Truly amazing flavors and great atmosphere. Highly recommended and shout out to Shelby our server who was also a lot of fun!

This place is fantastic. The food is AMAZING and perfect for the price. The owners and staff are full of life and super understanding and wonderful. I had the Monster Roll and Summer Breeze Roll. You also get some really good Miso soup with most rolls. The takoyaki and dragon ball appetizers are so good. The teriyaki salmon, chicken, and beef are also really good. The EEL is also great and good quality. I work right next to this place so I'm gonna be going super often

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. I’ve been to every sushi restaurant in town and this is by far the best. Their food is amazing and their service is always so great, the atmosphere always welcomes you, it makes you want to come back. I’ve been going here as my sushi spot for about a year now, I tell everybody about this place. They give you free miso soup too <3 I think my favorite thing about this place is the service, even the workers remember me and always greet me the same way every time.

I called my order in. They said 15 minutes. When I arrived, I ended up waiting about minutes. The food was definitely worth the wait. And the staff was super friendly.

I ordered over $100 of sushi last night to go. My daughter found a hair under the rice in one of her rolls. Then after searching other rolls, we found a 2nd hair in a different roll. This was my #1 sushi place in Bakersfield, now we will never go back. We didn't bother calling for a refund, but this ruined my wife's birthday dinner.

I ordered takeout for lunch. I got the pick 2 sushi roll lunch special you get 2 rolls, salad, and miso soup for 19$. It’s a lot of food for such a good price. I also got a deep fried California roll. Everything was so delicious. 10/10 will be coming back

KUMA SUSHI, strong in the Force, the chefs and staff are. ✨ Visited for dinner, I did, and most impressed, I was. The restaurant, warm and inviting it is—perfect for a casual meal or a gathering of allies. With a trusted comrade, I dined, and together, the Spicy Salmon Lovers roll, we shared. Fresh, it was. Bursting with flavor, it remained. For our entrées, the Chicken Stir Fry and a Dragon Roll, we chose. Masterfully prepared, the stir fry was—flavors in perfect harmony, balanced as the Force should be. The Dragon Roll? A thing of beauty—artful in presentation, powerful in taste. A cup of miso soup, we also enjoyed, warming the soul like a Jedi meditation. Exceptional, the staff was. Friendly and wise, they guided us well, ensuring our journey through the menu was smooth. Recommendations, they offered—most excellent, they were. A truly fantastic experience, this was. Return, I shall, when next in the area. KUMA SUSHI—highly recommend it, I do, to all seeking balance between quality and flavor in Bakersfield Downtown.

I originally gave a good review until I visited during the happy hour special for half price rolls. Unfortunately the sushi chef was making them half size as well. It turns out it was the owner Chef who complained about the cost of fish for the smaller rolls rather than make up for it. He refused my business for complaining. Attached are photos of their regular price and half-price rolls. Fortunately, Jin Sushi downtown has a similar special and their rolls come with good portions.

They've updated the place so it's very nice. The patio is beautiful and a nice place to sit when the weather is good. Service was excellent, our server was very attentive and the food came out quickly, it came while we were eating our appetizers. The food was tasty and very fresh. We got a few rolls that I forgot to take a picture of because we were so hungry. But trust it was great. The crab stuffed mushrooms are a must have. Easily my favorite place for sushi in Bakersfield.

Really liked the basic Albacore roll. The Jin special was good too, but heavy. Will definitely be coming back while I'm in town to try a couple other things. Service was exceptionally friendly. Pretty cool atmosphere and decent lighting. If you're around I'd stop in!

Great place with much variety and wonderful taste. Atmosphere is very cool with their two big trees. “”69” Roll was A-1 and the chicken teriyaki salad was Amazing . Lots of seating and very cool looking bar area. Great Place and Recommended !

Very beautiful place to come and eat, but only if the service was better and the food. first off I ordered the tempura veggies and they were not even cooked through and doughy. I had them sent back and removed from the bill. Then Wife ordered fajita sushi and I had to wait an additional 15 mins for my dish. We eat as a family andby the time we started eating her sushi was soggy and the flavors did not pair well together. Funny enough the waitress asked if I had room for dessert 2 minutes after I received my food??? Just a strange place.

Went in for late lunch. The place was semi busy. The atmosphere is a little dark inside, but nice. Got seated right away and our server was attentive. I got the 661 roll and my husband had the deseo roll, which was very good. The tuna was fresh, and it was filling. Also had the spicy edemame and it was delicious!!

If you follow me … Rarity will I gone a full 5 Star Not because I done want to, because it is rare. I this case 5 Star is right on ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️it’s all good here, food quality and verity, service and atmosphere. These guys get it right and have for years. Dining in : well the TV with pet fun it just cool ! And take out they are like a machine : perfect I guess 50% of their business is Take out !!! And that’s great too !

Great place, really tasty food and reasonable price. The environment is really classy, and servers are attentive. The bathroom was clean and smelled really good. Food did not take too long, but tbh we were busy chatting, so we didn't notice the wait time. I always order take out and this was our first time dining in, would come back again!!! (SIDE NOTE I wouldn't want to have cheap fish, so I don't understand why people complain about the price)

Super nice owners and we love hanging at the sushi bar. The interaction with the sushi chef is so fun. The food is a bit pricey but what good sushi bar isn't? We think it's worth the delicious food and atmosphere. We love the sashimi combo and the flaming Trojan roll, all tuna, spicy and bomb!
